1. Sign/Renew your retainers – Lawyers, Accountants, Recruiters, etc.
2. Prepare and Audit Accounts for the just concluded financial year
3. Schedule your Board Meetings & Retreat/Advance – Appraise the immediate past & set goals for the future
4. Review Contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLA) s – Some with fixed terms have expired in December, others require some action for renewal. Stay on top of them.
5. Prepare your Compliance calendar – Remain abreast, and preempt licenses required for your proposed expansion or the introduction of new products/services.
Do not be caught unawares by a regulatory audit or due diligence exercise, and then resort to engaging consultants on impossible deadlines. This puts you at risk of penalties, poor quality work, and exorbitant pricing.
If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.
